Whitnall Girls Swim and Dive off to State!
The Whitnall Girls swim and dive team are looking to improve there 7th place finish last year at State with 9 qualifiers this year in 9 different events.
The team is led by Senior and Captain Nicole Beckman who is three-time qualifier in the 200 IM and 100 Fly. Nicole is seeded 2nd in the state in the 100 Fly and finished third last year, fourth in 2016 and fifth in 2015.
Sophomore Bella Smith makes here second appearance to the State meet as the top seed in diving. Bella placed 4th in 2017 and is now the 2018 D2 diving favorite to win.
Joining the dive team this year is newcomers Kamyla Held seeded XX and Alyssa Radant seeded 16th overall.
Whitnall will have a strong freshman class with Rachel Lenz in the 200IM and 100 Back, Grace Radke in the 200 Free and 100 Fly and Nefeli Tselemegkou in the 100 Breast.
Whitnall is also sending three relays to the State meet:
200 Medley Relay - Nicole Beckman, Eva Beier, Rachel Lenz and Nefeli Tselemegkou
200 Free Relay - Nicole Beckman, Eva Beier, Grace Radke and Nefeli Tselemegkou
400 Free Relay - Rachel Lenz, Delaney McElvain, Grace Radke and Kamyla Held
