Notice of Budget Hearing 

(Section 65.90(4)) 

Notice is hereby given to the qualified electors of the Whitnall School District that the budget hearing will be held in the Community Board Room of Whitnall School District, 5000 S. 116th Street, Greenfield, WI, on the 22nd day of September, 2025 at 6:30pm. The summary of the budget is printed below. Detailed copies of the budget are available for inspection at the District Office.

Notice is hereby given to qualified electors of the Whitnall School District, that the annual meeting of said district for the transaction of business, will be held in Whitnall School District's Community Board Room, on the 22th day of September, 2025, immediately following the Budget Hearing.

2024-25 Budget Hearing & Annual Meeting

 The Budget Hearing and Annual Meeting of the Whitnall School District were held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at 6:30pm in the Whitnall Community Board Room.

Annual Meeting

The following resolutions were passed by electors present at the 2024 Annual Meeting:

Resolution #1:

Due to the November referendum, we are required to pass two resolutions for the tax levy; one if the referendum passes and one if the referendum fails. This is done in two separate motions and votes.

Be it resolved by the electors of the Whitnall School District, pursuant to section 120.10(8 & 9) of the Wisconsin Statutes, that the tax levy for the 2024-25 school year shall be set at $18,439,188 if the November referendum

PASSES.

Breakdown of Tax Levy: $12,107,269 for Fund 10: General Fund, $137,419 for Fund 38: the Non-Referendum debt service, $5,644,500 in Fund 39: Referendum Debt Service; if the November referendum PASSES, $400,000

Capital Expansion Fund 41, and $150,000 for Fund 80.

Be it resolved by the electors of the Whitnall School District, pursuant to section 120.10(8 & 9) of the Wisconsin Statutes, that the tax levy for the 2024-25 school year shall be set at $12,794,688 if the November referendum

FAILS.

Breakdown of Tax Levy: $12,107,269 for Fund 10: General Fund, $137,419 for Fund 38: the Non-Referendum debt service, $0.00 in Fund 39: Referendum Debt Service; if the November referendum FAILS, $400,000 Capital

Expansion Fund 41, and $150,000 for Fund 80.

Resolution #3:

Be it resolved by the electors of the Whitnall School District, pursuant to section 120.10(14) of the Wisconsin Statutes that the School Board be and is hereby authorized to provide for the prosecution or defense of any legal action or proceeding in which the district is or may be interested during the 2023-24 school year.

Resolution #4:

Be it resolved by the electors of the Whitnall School District, pursuant to section 120.10(3) that the salaries of School Board Members for the 2023-24 school year be set as follows:

Board President: $4,500

All other members: $4,000

Resolution #5:

Be it resolved by the electors of the Whitnall School District to authorize payment of actual expenses of School Board Members when traveling in the performance of duties.

Resolution #6:

Be it resolved by the electors of the Whitnall School District, that the date and time of the annual meeting for the 2025-26 school year be established as September 23, 2025 or as determined by the School Board.
