1:1 Learning Environment (2-12)
In a 1:1 learning environment, students are provided with dedicated school-issued technology to access the internet, digital course material, and digital textbooks to support learning and district academic goals. 1:1 learning environments expand the student's experiences beyond the classroom and provide the student with immediate access to knowledge, creativity, communication, culture, and ideas.
Students in grades 2 and 3 access their devices in the classroom but do not bring them home. Students in grades 4-12 are permitted to take their devices home daily and retain them over the summer months.
Student Expectations
All students accessing Whitnall School District technology must agree to the Acceptable Usage Policy (AUP) outlined in the School Board Policy. The Acceptable Usage policy agreement is part of the annual Online Verification process. Students whose families have not completed the annual verification and have not agreed to the AUP may not be permitted access to district technology.
1:1 Student Technology
Students learning in a 1:1 environment are issued a district Chromebook and access to Google Suite for Education. Please see the Chromebook Guide for your level.
