For the 2023-2024 school year, the guidelines around COVID-19 will now follow our general illness guidelines.
-
Whitnall will not be contact tracing, quarantining, or sending out classroom notifications of any known positive COVID-19 cases.
-
If your student tested positive for COVID-19 at home or is simply experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, you can engage in regular absence reporting. However, if you want the absence to be medically excused, you will need to provide a professional excuse
-
Your child is able to return to school as symptoms of illness are improving and fever free for 24 hrs without the use of medication.
People heal faster when they rest and take care of themselves. When your student shares that they are not feeling well, please encourage them to stay home until they are feeling better.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your continued support in maintaining a safe and healthy school environment!
