The amount of emotional and mental strain caused from a pandemic can be overwhelming, especially as we near a year anniversary of the pandemic. The separation from school, family, and friends can create a great amount of stress and anxiety for children and adolescents. Children may also feel upset or have other strong emotions if they, or someone they know, has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Setting a good example for your children by managing your stress through healthy lifestyle choices, is critical for parents and caregivers. When you are prepared, rested, and relaxed you can respond better to unexpected events and can make decisions in the best interest of your family and loved ones. Many of us our feeling pandemic fatigue but please remember to practice self-care as we continue making good strides in defeating this challenge.
