Welcome to the Whitnall Middle School's website. Whitnall Middle School, grades 6 through 8, is designed to create a safe environment enlivened by a spirit of school unity and personal uniqueness where every student can learn, grow and establish positive relationships.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT: The mission of Whitnall Middle School is to ensure that every student receives equitable learning opportunities to meet high academic standards in a safe environment.

Washington DC Trip

Starting Tuesday morning on May 22 and running until May 25, a number of Whitnall 8th graders will be taking a trip to Washington D.C. Update on Collaborative Release Schedule for 2012-2013

On Monday, May 7th, the Whitnall school board voted to amend the collaborative release portion of the calendar for 2012-2013. In an effort to create a collaborative release schedule that most effectively meets the needs of our students and families, the board voted unanimously in favor of the amendment, which aligns the elementary schools and middle school with an early release on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. The high school schedule will remain as proposed, with a late start on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.

With the collaborative schedule now in place, the district will be working with community partners to finalize and communicate the details of next year's early release activity options for elementary and middle school students. The Whitnall administrative team and staff look forward to the additional opportunities to work together within the framework of professional learning communities made possible by this new collaborative release plan.

Whitnall Block Party September 8, 2012

SAVE THE DATE: Saturday, September 8, 2012. The 3rd annual Whitnall School District Back-To-School Block Party featuring games, food, and entertainment will be held from 12 Noon-7:00pm on S. 116th Street at Whitnall High School and Whitnall Middle School.

The Block Party committee is currently seeking groups and individuals to help run activities during the party and also welcome new committee members for those who would like to get involved with behind-the-scenes planning. Student entertainment acts are also being sought, especially bands and musical entertainment.
