CRISIS & MENTAL HEALTH
Our District Crisis Team utilizes a systematic approach to crisis intervention. When a crisis occurs that affects our school community, we seek to implement supportive and culturally responsive strategies to encourage healing and coping of impacted individuals. After the death of a student or staff member occurs, impacted individuals can reach out to the respective principal at each school building for more information regarding WSD’s Commemoration and Memorial practices.
Our district aligns our crisis practices to the Trauma, Illness, and Grief (TIG) Consortium.
