ABOUT SCHOOL BOARD ELECTIONS

  • Board member elections are held annually at the spring election on the first Tuesday in April. (April 7, 2026)
  • Each year there are two or three seats available. For 2026, there will be three seats available.
  • A Board member's three year term begins on the 4th Monday in April following the election. (April 27, 2026)
  • The Board shall hold its annual reorganization meeting to elect Board officers on the fourth Monday in April.

2026 SCHOOL BOARD ELECTION - APRIL 7, 2026

The Official Notice of the School Board Election was published in the November 12, 2025 issue of the South NOW newspaper.

There will be three (3) school board seats on the ballot.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the regular spring election to be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, in the Cities of Franklin and Greenfield, and the Village of Hales Corners at the regular polling places. An election will be held for three (3) members of the Whitnall School Board all for three (3) year terms beginning on Monday, April 27, 2026 and expiring on April 30, 2029.  Regular office hours for filing are Monday through Friday 7:30am-4pm. Please note the filing office will be closed starting December 24, 2025-January 2, 2026. The incumbents are: Cassie Rainer, Rachel Scherrer, and Jesse Stachowiak.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that the first day to file a Campaign Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy is December 1, 2025. This must be filed no later than 5:00 p.m., on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at the Whitnall District Office, 5000 South 116th Street, Greenfield, WI, 53228. 

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN, that if a primary is necessary, the primary will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
