Strategic Plan
Final Community Survey Results Now Available
The strategic plan has four action teams, including Communication. From January through early February of 2009, a survey went out to all community members, parents, and staff members in the Whitnall School District.

BACKGROUND

The last major revision to the District's Continuous Planning Model was completed in January of 2005.  Since then, the District has continued to develop yearly goals and initiatives.  We also revised our yearly goal structures and models to include Action Planning Models to assist in goal completion.  In April of 2008, the District revisited the big picture and added the Strategic Planning Process to address the following:

  1. Do the current mission, beliefs and values address not only where we are as a District, but also where we want to be 2,3 and 5 years out?
  2. Do we have a pulse on what our community stakeholders want for the District?
  3. Are we focusing our time and energies on the right things?

These questions precipitated the development of a Strategic Planning Team of Key Communicators that met numerous times to discuss and develop a new document that addresses four big picture areas (strategies) the District wants to address in the next three years.
