Working with students at the middle level has been the best part of my 17 years as an educator! In fact, all but two years of my career have been spent either teaching or working in an administrative role with middle school students. I received my Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. After teaching for a few years, I pursued a Masters of Science in Administrative Leadership at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

It is a privilege to work with the students and families of the WMS learning community. I look forward to working with this dedicated community to strengthen and enrich the lives of our students.

Brian Borden, Dean of Students

Hello, my name is Brian Borden, and I am the Dean of Students at Whitnall Middle School. My primary responsibility is to work with the building principal on the development and implementation of pupil service responsibilities at our school. Along with this general support, my role involves student advocacy, student behavior issues, athletic and other school activities, lunchroom and bus supervision, and other building safety as assigned. I enjoy working closely with students, staff and parents on a full range of student concerns. I am also designated asthe "person in charge" when the principal is out of the building.
