Assignment 18 - Practice Making Charts
In class practice making various types of charts based on specific tables and then customizing the charts. Click on each tab for each sheet. The final table/graph is the students choice to research and then chart

Practice making excel spreadsheets and charts in class. This is a group class activity.
Assignment 16
MERGE AND CENTER - students will learn to merge cells together to create a larger cell
MILES FROM MILWAUKEE - in class spreadsheet activity where students will create spread sheets that list their estimated miles to various cities in America, the actual miles to those destinations, and a formula calculating the difference.
Assignment 15 (EXCEL Math)
Create the formulas that will give us the correct answers to 12 problems adding (sum), subtraction (difference), multiplication (product) and division (quotient). Your responses must be in the form of a formula. Simply entering the correct number is not correct.
Assignment 14
In class activity using Excel spreadsheets sorting data and creating simple formulas to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Assignment 13
In class activity using Excel spreadsheets sorting list of items by columns alphabetically and numerically.
Assignment 12
Keyboarding using the in class text book (pages 49-50) as well as an in class review activity for the next district technology assessment covering word processing skills. Review of required skills handed out in class today.
London
Practice working with Headers, Footers, indentation, page numbers, margins, and Spell Checking. Class activity preparing for District Word Assessment. This is an 'in class' assignment only.
Assignment 11
Keyboarding activity using classroom text book (pages 43-44). As well as an in class review activity for the District Word Assessment.
Movie Poster
Students use MS Word and the clip art gallery to create an imaginary 'Movie Poster'. Students required to use five clip arts and text wrap them around the words and to be layered on top of other clip art.
Assignment 10
Practice inserting clip art / images into a word document and changing how the text wraps around the clip art / image.

Practice formatting using line spacing, alignments, and margins. This is an in class activity only, instructions will be given in class.

Jog the web through these Milwaukee web site to copy/paste text and images and write the citations for all of the information you take from the net.

Info Tech Quiz 2
Questions summarizing Boolean Operators and Web Extensions and Citing information (MLA) taken from the Internet.

Assignment 6
Assignment 6 - M.L.A. citations for information taken from the internet. Students navigate to the New York Times online website, and select text from an article to write the citation for and select an image to write the citation.

Assignment 4 covers citing information taken from the internet using the M.L.A. format. Students select articles and images to cite from the Milwaukee Journal Online web site.
Assignment 3
Assignment covers URL's and web extensions. Students need to use Boolean Operators and make a specific search and from the results find five different URL's. One must be a government site (.gov)
Assignment 2
Assignment 2 covers a sample use of Boolean Operators in search engines. Students do a sample search using Boolean Operators to reduce their final search to 10 or less results.

Assignment #1 - Using the HEADER and FOOTER. Keyboarding assignment 1, pages 3-6, activities C, D, E, F, G, and H.
Blogging Entry 2
Students post a blog on the class wiki and then comment on other students - click link to read the actual assignment and due dates
Internet Summary
Summary Evaluation of class discussion of computer communications and on line Internet Safety.
Download and 'OPEN' the Word Document. Answer the questions completely, then save your work in your H-drive at school or save your work at home and bring a printed copy to school.
