Saving To A Flash Drive

Go to FILE - SAVE AS

Click the arrow (at the top of the box) that says “Save In:”

Find the location you want to save to:

·        Flash drive: may be labeled “removable disk”

·        H:drive: should have your log-on next to ‘w-srvr01hom…’

Removing Your Flash Drive

When you are finished using a flash drive you MUST remove it properly – otherwise it will stop working and all information saved on it will be lost.

Save & close all files you are working on

Move your cursor to the BOTTOM RIGHT side of the toolbar (by the clock):

·        Find the picture w/the little green arrow: “Safely Remove Hardware”

·        LEFT CLICK on it – a window will pop up that lists your Flash drive

·        LEFT CLICK on your flash drive

·        Wait until the bubble pops up that says “Safe To Remove Hardware”

Then it’s safe to remove it :)
