Chairpersons: Lori Windt and Michele Klimo:
Post Prom is a committee sponsored by the Whitnall Falcon Booster Club (WFBC) to provide the Juniors and Seniors at Whitnall High School a safe and fun experience after their Prom Dance. WFBC funds the entire Post Prom experience.
The Post Prom has offered students such activities as: basketball, wallyball, racquetball, casino games & prizes, gladiator jousting, inflatables, swimming, DJ, karaoke, hot tub, caricature artists, hypnotist and Comedy Sportz.
This is a lock-in event in a drug and alcohol free environment. We need a lot of volunteers to put on a good Post Prom for the kids. Information regarding Post Prom Planning meetings traditionally held in March and April will be forthcoming.
We invite you to consider volunteering in one of the following areas:
Food: To plan a menu and secure food and paper products for the evening.
Chaperones: To solicit volunteers to assist with the lock-in evening. Contact all volunteers and assign duties for the evening of Post Prom.
Registration: Draft Post Prom Permission Slip and information letter to be included in the Prom Packet. Collect completed slips, check for accuracy and compile master list for the night of the Post Prom Check-in. Check-in all attendees and contact parents of those who do not show.
Casino: Organize equipment needed and determine the number of dealers needed for the evening. Coordinate play money distribution to participants and prize drawing schedule. Train dealers and decorate the casino area.
Entertainment: Secure activities and entertainment for the evening. Activities offered in the past include: basketball, swimming, movies, music and casino games.
Program: Design, type and distribute program to Prom attendees on the night of the Prom.
Publicity/Thank You/Follow-up: Design posters, fliers and announcements to promote Post Prom in school. Contact the NOW newspaper to make parents and public aware of the upcoming event and any needs we may have. Send thank you cards with a copy of the program to all donators. Make announcement in school to thank all attendees for good conduct.
