Funds are being raise for a Spring Trip to Walt Disney World and the annual trip to see and here the Chicago Symphony Orchestra!
Information will be updated shorty, please check the calender for upcoming dates!
As we get our fund raising rolling, we want everyone to be informed of how we have decided to handle fund raising and establishing a balance between fund raising for the students and fund raising for the group.
First, all student accounts will be charged $25 dollars at the beginning of the school year and go into the general fund. All group fund raising activities (car washes, ice cream socials, brat sales, performances, t-shirt sales, concessions, etc…) will go into the general fund and go for the support of the orchestra groups and the orchestra program as a whole. Individual fund raising efforts (candy, beef sticks, etc…) will go to the student’s individual account. Scrip sales will be handled as individual fund raising as long as I know which student to credit, so please let me know when placing your order who should get credit for a Scrip sale. Any student who does not participate in at least 50% of the group fund raising activities will be charged 20% of their individual account balance at the end of the school year to go into the general fund.
We are also able to accept tax deductable donations. These can either go into a specific student account or the general fund, whichever the donor designates. A letter can be generated for tax purposes for any donation. Any donations can be sent to WCOS, c/o Danell Krawczyk, 10332 W Upham, Hales Corners, WI 53130. Please make sure to note who the donation is for.
I think that pretty much sums it up! If there is ever a question regarding the fund raising, or anything else, just send me an e-mail at whitnallstrings@yahoo.com.
