Orchestra Trip to Chicago

Final Itineray for Chicago, March 26-27, plus addition information:

 

DAY ONE: Friday March 26, 2010                        
Motorcoaches arrive for a morning loading.
Load 8:00AM                                  Depart 8:30AM
Good News Tour & Travel Tour Manager will meet you and accompany your group.
            11AM              Late morning arrival into the Chicago area.
11-12:30       Arrive at the lake front Navy Pier. Enjoy the 15 story ferris wheel, an Imax movie or enjoy the view of Lake Michigan while visiting this 50 acre area. Lunch on own.
1:00PM          Arrive at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
1:30PM          Spectacular Chicago Symphony Orchestra included this afternoon at. Beyond the
                             Score -Rites of Passage
4-6PM           Spend some time shopping along Magnificent Mile with great places, such as; Water Tower Place, Macy’s or Nike Town (own expense). Dinner on own. 
6:30-8PM      Soar to the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower). Enjoy “The Ledge”, 1,353 feet up with a large glass box that extends 4.3 feet to see a view of Chicago like never before!

DAY TWO: Saturday March 27, 2010                     B & D  
7-7:45A          Breakfast is included at the Hotel this morning.
Load 7:45AM                                  Depart 8:00AM
            9-11                Morning Gangster Tour; Chicago comes alive as a costumed gangster guides you on                         a one-way ride back to the day when Al Capone ruled Chicago’s “South Side”.
            11AM              Lunch on own at Rock n Roll McDonalds.
12 –1:30P    Master clinic/workshop at Northwestern University with Robert Hasty.
            2P-5P             Explore The Field Museum,
            2:00PM          Arrive at the Field Museum to set-up for performance.
            2:30PM          Whitnall High School Orchestra students have a performance this afternoon.             
 5:30-7PM     Included Chicago style Pizza Dinner this evening.
            8:00PM          Return to the hotel for Pool Time.
 
 
DAY THREE: Sunday March 28, 2010                            B & L
7:30-8:30       Breakfast is included at the Hotel this morning if wanted – Gospel Brunch is at 10A.
                        Check out of your hotel this morning taking all of your belongings with you.
Load 8:30AM                                  Depart 9:00AM
10:00AM        Gospel Brunch – House of Blues.
1:30PM          Arrive at Shedd Aquarium & Oceanaruim, Chicago’s “Ocean by the Lake” which offers
array of more than 8000 aquatic animals and dolphin show. 
2:00PM                      Polar Play Zone
2:30PM                      Oceanarium Show and Exhibits
3:30PM                      Wild Reef Entry Time
5:30PM        Depart Chicago.
7:30PM        Approximate arrival at Whitnall High School.

This is a final itinerary for your Chicago tour.   If delays are experienced the timetables will be adjusted as necessary.    It is important to be on time, ready to load and unload quickly. Patience, efficiency, and co-operation are important. 12/28/2009.

Addition Information:
 
1.      Friday Night: lights out at 10:30
2.      Saturday Night: lights out at 11:30
3.      There is to be no mixed company in hotel rooms at any time
4.      Students need additional money for:
a.       Lunch on Friday
b.      Dinner on Friday
c.       Lunch on Saturday

6.      Students need to be at school at 8:00 am Friday, March 26th.  Any item boarding the bus may be searched by me or another chaperon.
