PURPOSE OF FCA
FCA is a nationally recognized organization and has been serving communities for over 50 years. FCA is for any student that participates in any type of athletics. The goal of this organization is to encourage kids to seek a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. As athletes, they are in a special place where they know it takes hard work to achieve their goals. It is FCA's intent to encourage these students to seek, to grow and mature in their faith so they can establish a firm foundation to be a leader, a good friend, or to know how to get through tough times.
We meet twice a month, usually the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month. These meetings are called "huddles" and are held in the Whitnall High School Library from 6:00 to 7:30pm. We usually watch a DVD related to a life lesson, have a discussion, and end with playing a game or a sport. Students are given the opportunity to let their views be known and talk about them.
