Edgerton Happenings

Project Fair

The project fair is for all students in Grades 1-5. This year's Project Fair was March 3rd from 6:00 -8:00 p.m.

Students were given the opportunity to create a project in one of five curricular areas which included: Visual & Language Arts, Math, Science, & Social Studies. The projects were completed outside of school and followed a set of guidelines given to them a month before the Fair. The projects were judged and put on display for viewing by the public.

Olympics Assembly

Students at Edgerton Elementary School in the Whitnall School district cheered at an Olympics assembly on Wednesday, Feb. 10th.  K4 students along with Mrs. Dudek’s third grade classroom entered the assembly carrying torches and flags of the nations to the Olympic theme music.  The assembly was a send off for Mary Dudek, who is traveling to join her daughter, Alyson Dudek at the 2010 Olympic games in Vancover.  Students learned about the history of the Olympics, made posters and shared well-wishes in support of Alyson Dudek, who is competing in short-track speed skating events in the upcoming games.  The students anticipate many interesting stories when their teacher returns.

JAM AK JAM Residency

Thanks to Edgerton PTO and the AIR committee for sponsoring the JAM AK JAM African rhythmn and dance group residency.  Our students had a fabulous time learning about West Africa and learning some dances.
