Whitnall School District is now cashless!
Cash will no longer be accepted in any lunch line at any school! Each student must have money in their lunch account for purchases in the lunch line. For more information on maintaining your lunch account, CLICK HERE or call Sharon Koier at  (414) 525-8430.

We are now in the sixth year of our computerized system for the Food Service program. The Lunch Cashier System has been implemented and is working very well. It is designed as a prepaid system that requires parents to maintain a positive account balance. Rather than using cash for daily lunches or the purchase of lunch tickets, families can send checks with thier child. Elementary School aged children can pay at thier respective scholls and Middle and High Schooler can pay in the luch line. Making a payment online utilizing E-Funds is also an option. The money will then be deposited into your personal family account. Only one account will be set up for all family members to withdraw from. This system will simplify the lunch procedure for all students. As always, we continue to strive to improve the Food Service program and to serve you more efficiently and effectively. If you have any questions, please call Sharon Koier in the Food Service Department at 414/525-8430.

The Lunch Cashier System Guidelines:

  • Each family will be set up with a family account. Account numbers will be assigned
  • To ensure correct credit, please be sure to write your account number on all checks.
  • Parent(s)/guardian(s) are responsible to make sure there is money in the family account.
  • Each student will be set up with a PIN number. This number is their lunch ID # (4 digits). This PIN number will be the same throughout their years at Whitnall. The PIN number is assigned to the student and may only be used by that student. Purchases for other students are forbidden.
  • Students in grades K-5 will have a homeroom list with a barcode number for each student that will deduct from the family account.
  • Students in grades 6-12 will be responsible for memorizing their PIN number! This PIN number will be entered on a key pad to debit from the family account. For Elementary School children purchasing milk only, there will be a change container near the milk coolers to deposit change.
Students at the Middle and High School will have the option to use the new debit system or cashfor lunch and a la carte items.
  • There will be a limit on student purchases of $5.00 per student per day.
  • If your balance is less than $10.00 for each individual child, your child will be notified by the cashier(in the Middle and High School ) that their account is low, alerting you to deposit more money in your account. High School and Middle School children cannot receive a lunch if there is no money in the account. Elementary students will be provided a lunch and it will be charged to the family account. If the account goes in the negative there will be a disruption in the lunch service. The main objective is to make sure there is money in your account.
  • Checks should be made payable to Whitnall Food Service and can be delivered to your child's school office. Checks for the start ofnext school year should be received no later than August 24th .Our office will require a minimumof two business days to record and enter each transaction. It is Important To Include Your Family Account Number on your check! We suggest you discuss with your middle and high school students what their daily needs may be. High School and Middle School students will be able to bring in checks through the lunch lines but they will not be entered in your family account until the following business day
  • Families having financial difficulties are encouraged to apply for the Free/Reduced meal program offered through our District. These benefits are completely confidential.(Form Enclosed).
  • Balance inquiries will be available on the District Web Page Food Service Link. Can also be obtained by calling 525-8466. You will also be called automatically called when your balance is below $15.00 .
