Whitnall School District is now cashless!
Cash will no longer be accepted in any lunch line at any school! Each student must have money in their lunch account for purchases in the lunch line. A student with a negative balance will have their lunch service interrupted. For more information on maintaining your lunch account, CLICK HERE or call Sharon Koier at (414) 525-8430.

The Lunch Cashier System has been implemented and is working very well. It is designed as a prepaid system that requires parents to maintain a positive account balance. Rather than using cash for daily lunches or the purchase of lunch tickets, families can send checks with their child. Elementary School aged children can pay at their respective schools, Middle and High School Students can pay in the lunch line. Making a payment online utilizing E-Funds is also an option. The money will then be deposited into your personal family account. Only one account will be set up for all family members to withdraw from. This system will simplify the lunch procedure for all students. As always, we continue to strive to improve the Food Service program and to serve you more efficiently and effectively. If you have any questions, please call Sharon Koier in the Food Service Department at 414-525-8430.
The Lunch Cashier System Guidelines:
- Each family will be set up with a family account. Account numbers will be assigned
- To ensure correct credit, please be sure to write your account number on all checks.
- Parent(s)/guardian(s) are responsible to make sure there is money in the family account.
- Students in grades K-5 will have a homeroom list with a barcode number for each student that will deduct from the family account.
- All High School students will be required to show their student ID to receive lunch.
- There will be a limit on student purchases of $10.00 per student per day.
- If your balance is less than $10.00 for each individual child, your child will be notified by the cashier that their account is low, alerting you to deposit more money in your account. High School and Middle School children will not receive a lunch if there is no money in the account. Elementary students will be provided a cheese sandwich if there is no money in the account and it will be charged to the family account. All students on the Federal Reduced Meal Plan will be required to pay .40 cash if there is no money in their family account. The main objective is to make sure there is money in your account.
- Checks should be made payable to Whitnall Food Service and can be delivered to your child's school office. Checks for the start of next school year should be received no later than August 30th .Our office will require a minimum of two business days to record and enter each transaction. It is Important To Include Your Family Account Number on your check! We suggest you discuss with your middle and high school students what their daily needs may be. High School and Middle School students will be able to bring in checks through the lunch lines but they will not be entered in your family account until the following business day
- Families having financial difficulties are encouraged to apply for the Free/Reduced meal program offered through our District. These benefits are completely confidential.
- Balance inquiries will be available on the District Web Page Food Service Link. To do this you will need your family ID and your pin #, which is the last four digits of your phone number that we have on file. You will also be sent an email automatically when your balance is below $30.00 at the end of each week. Please call if you are not receiving these emails and we will update your email.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this endeavor. As always, the Whitnall Food Service Program is always striving to serve our customers. If there are any questions, please feel free to call Sharon at (414) 525-8430.
