The Whitnall School District provides alternative opportunities for students who experience difficulty succeeding academically. All four schools have developed a Student Invention Process to identify multiple ways to help struggling students. Both the middle and high school have Academic Support Centers where the students can go to receive additional assistance. This additional assistance may include reteaching an area of difficulty, additional help with classwork and homework, test review and make-up, and other individual academic help. All levels offer homework assistance after school. In certain instances, some students may do better in an off-site setting. Discussion of alternative settings begins with the building level administration and guidance services.
If you have questions about any of these services, please contact the school where your student is attending, or one of the contacts below.
